In January, Ascend Nonprofit Solutions (formerly Children & Family Services Center) announced that after 12 years of service, President and CEO Shelley White would retire in September. To identify her successor, the Board of Directors is conducting a national search.
We are excited to share that the position is now posted and applications are being accepted here. The national search is being led by Armstrong McGuire, a consulting and recruitment firm that specializes in working with nonprofit and philanthropic organizations.
“Ascend provides a great service to the Charlotte area nonprofit community and we are excited to support the effort to identify their next chief executive,” said Armstrong McGuire Senior Advisor Staci Barfield. “We are actively seeking a diverse candidate pool and encourage qualified individuals to submit an application.”
About Ascend Nonprofit Solutions
Ascend Nonprofit Solutions is a nonprofit dedicated to strengthening the nonprofit sector through capacity-building services. These include high-quality, affordable facilities and finance, HR and IT solutions. Bridging these administrative gaps enables nonprofits to focus more time and resources on what they do best – advancing their missions. Ascend opened its doors in 2003 in uptown Charlotte to nine nonprofits as a shared space with shared cost and a common purpose. In 2009, Ascend began offering finance, HR and IT support at the request of its partner tenants. Since its founding, Ascend Nonprofit Solutions has saved its nonprofit partners an estimated $34.5 million in rent and back-office support.
