Children & Family Services Announces SocialServe as Its Newest Partner Agency
Charlotte, NC, December 1, 2017 –Children & Family Services Center (CFSC) is pleased to announce Non-Profit Industries (NPI), dba Socialserve.com, as its newest partner agency.
“Socialserve is excited to be a part of the Children & Family Services Center, and to share space with the many amazing organizations here,” said Socialserve Executive Director Tara Peele. “We look forward to collaborating with our fellow partner agencies to better address the housing needs of our Charlotte neighbors.”
NPI was founded in 1999. The Socialworks program of NPI runs a national call center that provides jobs to hard-to-employ people who then help others access affordable housing and supportive services in their communities.
Non-Profit Industries is “a 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to empowering individuals to transition success through profession careers. We believe that helping others generates positive change for all.” Socialserve.com provides a fully-staffed, toll-free English and Spanish call center that helps landlords list and helps tenants search for properties while monitoring the availability and accuracy of listings.
SocialServe now occupies 5,100 square feet on the fifth floor of the CFSC building after relocating from Midwood Plaza. More information can be found at www.socialserve.com.
The Children & Family Services Center, a five-story office building in uptown Charlotte, was built in 2003 through a public/private collaboration. This innovative partnership of community resources enables these agencies to work together to improve the lives of children and families in our community. The non-profit agencies that share space in the Children & Family Services Center serve more than 198,600 children and families annually in Mecklenburg County and across the state. In the last decade, the Center has become the hub of non-profit activity in Charlotte and a national model for public-private partnerships and multi-agency cooperation.
Fellow partner agencies include A Child’s Place, CareRing, Communities in Schools, Community Link, Council for Children’s Rights, the Regional AIDS Interfaith Network (RAIN), Renaissance West Community Initiative, SafeAlliance (formerly United Family Services), Smart Start and Supportive Housing Communities.
