United Way of Central Carolinas recently announced their new name – United Way of Greater Charlotte. Along with their new name and look, they announced that they will invest $16 million in Charlotte communities in 2023. Their investment includes $9 million in grants to 132 neighborhood and grassroots organizations working to lift families out of poverty. Their plan also includes $5 million to provide housing and services for people experiencing homelessness and $2 million for donor-directed nonprofit funding.
