Communities In Schools Receives Large Donation

One of our 12 partner agencies, Communities In Schools (CIS), recently received their largest financial donation ever. The $5 million donation is a small portion of the $133.5 million donated by philanthropist MacKenzie Scott to the national CIS office. CIS-Charlotte will utilize the donation to transform their services. Their three priorities this year are: to reengage students, expand programming and grow their college and career readiness program.
