On April 16, the Children and Family Services Center hosted its first ever vaccination clinic in collaboration with Care Ring and the Mecklenburg County Health Department. Not only was the clinic a huge success, but it was also a great example of collaboration. CFSC staff assisted with logistics, Care Ring provided bilingual staff to assist with registration, clinicians to administer the vaccine and monitor the recipients, and the Mecklenburg Health Department provided and dispensed the vaccine and provided other medical supplies.
Care Ring collected data from the clinic:
We were very proud that we were able to serve some of our most vulnerable community members who might otherwise have had to wait to receive their vaccine. WSOC was onsite and aired a story on the 5:00pm news that same evening.
